Role description
ROLE IS ONSITE IN HOUSTON TEXAS [No Remote] We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain database applications and support enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and database optimization, along with experience working in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. β€’ Perform query optimization, performance tuning, and debugging for large datasets. β€’ Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and migration. β€’ Collaborate with application developers, architects, and business analysts to ensure database design aligns with business requirements. β€’ Support data modeling, schema design, indexing, and partitioning strategies. β€’ Ensure compliance with database security, backup, and recovery standards. β€’ Work with Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality database solutions on time. β€’ Provide production support for Oracle databases and troubleshoot performance issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: β€’ 5–10 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development. β€’ Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases. β€’ Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plans. β€’ Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, ODI, SSIS, etc.) is a plus. β€’ Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting for automation. β€’ Knowledge of Agile methodologies, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines. β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
