Job Title: IT Project / Portfolio Manager Process Automation
Location: Remote (US EST Time Zone Preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract 6 months W2 or C2C (Direct only no third parties)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project and Portfolio Manager to lead and drive a diverse portfolio of global Process Automation technology projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), capable of bridging the gap between technical software development teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Manage and oversee a portfolio of IT Process Automation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, business analysts, and external vendors.
β’ Develop and maintain clear, concise, and insightful reports and dashboards to communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.
β’ Translate complex technical data into understandable formats for non-technical audiences.
β’ Drive adoption of automation technologies and processes to improve operational efficiency.
β’ Ensure compliance with Life Sciences GxP standards where applicable.
β’ Facilitate stakeholder engagement and buy-in through strong communication and influence.
β’ Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful delivery.
Required Qualifications
β’ Proven experience managing IT projects and portfolios, ideally in a global environment.
β’ Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
β’ Exceptional reporting and data visualization skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
β’ Experience leading projects with process automation and technologies
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in Life Sciences or GxP-regulated environments.
β’ PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
β’ Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar.
