Power BI Consultant - Functional Project Lead

Job Summary Power BI - Functional Lead Must have 6+ years of Power BI and 10+ years of Data Analytics. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Functional Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the functional & technical direction of projects, ensuring the successful implementation of innovative solutions, particularly in the field of Data Analytics. This role requires a blend of Power BI technical experience - as a project lead, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Duties Review documents and setup meetings with relevant business users, SMEs, and reporting team to understand the problem statement Understand the existing data and process flow Lead the design and build of the future state data model Perform data pre-processing such as data transformation to support report building (might be in PBI desktop or out in the PBI service) Perform data analysis wherever applicable to support report building Design, build and implement Power BI reports and dashboards Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Mentor and guide engineers/off-shore based on functional requirements Assist with unit testing & report validation in the new environment Document processes, technical specifications, and project updates for internal use. Experience 10+ Years of data warehousing, reporting and analytics experience 6+ Years of Power BI development experience (desktop or PBI service) 2+ Years of Power BI service experience 6+ Years of data modeling experience 6+ Years of SQL experience 6+ Years of functional experience gathering requirements, performing data modeling and delivering reporting solutions 6+ Years of data warehousing/data analytics/ETL/Database design 2+ Years of SAP Business Objects experience A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred MUST HAVE excellent written and verbal communication skills NOTE: References will be checked and prior experience will be confirmed Job Type: Contract Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have 10 years of Data Analytics experience Experience: SAP BusinessObjects: 2 years (Required) Power BI: 6 years (Required) Work Location: Remote
