Role description
We are seeking a Power BI Data Analyst to design and build real-time and near real-time dashboards that provide situational awareness for airport operations and leadership.
This is a long-term contract (Initially through Dec 2025, with strong extension potential) offering the chance to work in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite near the Twin Cities, Minnesota airport).
Must be a GC/USC only.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
• Build Power BI dashboards and reports with KPIs, alerts, and operational trends.
• Create impactful visuals (tables, gauges, ArcGIS maps) to support decision-making.
• Implement DirectQuery, streaming datasets, incremental refresh for real-time insights.
• Write and tune T-SQL queries against Synapse serverless SQL pools and Azure SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate data, and document report logic.
• Configure data sources and workspaces in the Microsoft GCC cloud.
✅ Must-Have Skills:
• 3+ years of enterprise Power BI development (Desktop & Service).
• Expert in DAX, Power Query (M), and T-SQL performance tuning.
• Experience with real-time / streaming Power BI solutions.
• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, and Azure SQL.
• Strong data visualization and UI/UX instincts.
• Experience in Microsoft GCC or other regulated cloud environments.
⭐ Nice-to-Have:
• PL-300 / DP-500 certification.
• ArcGIS / geospatial visuals experience.
• Knowledge of lakehouse / medallion architectures.
