Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer – Enterprise Analytics Modernization
Location: Hybrid onsite in Dallas Texas

PAY RATE: $75.00
Interview Process: Onsite Interview required in Dallas Area - no remote or relocation candidates
Position Summary:
As a Senior Power BI Developer, your primary focus will be on transforming legacy MicroStrategy (MSTR) reports into scalable, high-performance Power BI solutions.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of Data Visualization experience with enterprise software
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Expertise in handling large, complex datasets and optimizing Power BI performance and export capabilities.
• Proficiency in building automation workflows using Power Automate
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric tools, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for data transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the migration of legacy MicroStrategy reports to Power BI, including interactive dashboards, tabular views, and paginated (PDF-ready) outputs.
• Analyze and translate existing MSTR logic, metrics, and data flows into functionally equivalent or enhanced Power BI solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade semantic models using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability in large-scale data environments (millions of rows).
• Develop custom export strategies to address Power BI’s native limitations, especially for large data exports.
• Collaborate with developers to build integrated BI solutions using Power BI, Power Automate, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
• Drive data integration efforts using Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, Pipelines, and Lakehouses, ensuring alignment with Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
