Power BI Developer

Job Title: Power BI Developer Location: 100% Remote Job Type: Long-Term Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Developer with 15+ years of expertise in Business Intelligence solutions, specializing in Power BI and BusinessObjects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, ETL processes, dashboard/report development, DAX, SQL optimization, and BI architecture. This role requires leadership in designing scalable reporting solutions, mentoring teams, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and BusinessObjects. • Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into robust BI solutions. • Develop and optimize data models, DAX measures, and queries to support complex reporting needs. • Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources, including SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Oracle, and APIs. • Maintain and enhance existing BusinessObjects universes, WebI reports, and Crystal Reports. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including data engineers, analysts, and business leaders. • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers. • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Power BI, BusinessObjects, and modern BI tools. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 15+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence development. • Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Dataflows, Paginated Reports, Row-level Security). • Deep experience in BusinessObjects (Universe Design Tool, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports). • Advanced SQL and database development skills (T-SQL, PL/SQL). • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and star/snowflake schema design. • Excellent communication, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
