Power BI Developer – Cybersecurity Analytics Location : Rosemont , IL Overview We’re seeking a Power BI Developer with cybersecurity analytics experience to support a highly visible security organization. This role partners closely with CISO leadership and security stakeholders to transform complex, unstructured security data into clear, actionable insights. This is a front-facing, business-aligned analytics role, not a back-end data engineering position. The ideal candidate excels at storytelling with data, understands how security teams measure risk and performance, and is comfortable presenting insights to executive audiences. What You’ll Do β€’ Design, redesign, and enhance Power BI dashboards supporting Cybersecurity and Information Security initiatives β€’ Partner directly with security leadership (CISO org) to define and refine key security metrics and KPIs β€’ Translate large, complex datasets (incident, vulnerability, risk, compliance data) into executive-ready visual stories β€’ Audit existing reports and dashboards to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missed insights in security reporting β€’ Develop audience-specific reporting for executives, security leaders, and operational teams β€’ Collaborate with BI, data engineering, and security teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency β€’ Support ad hoc analytics requests related to security posture, risk trends, and compliance reporting Required Qualifications β€’ 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer, BI Analyst, or Data Analyst β€’ Advanced Power BI expertise, including: β€’ Dashboard design and UX best practices β€’ Data modeling and DAX β€’ Executive-focused visual storytelling β€’ Strong proficiency in Excel for analysis and data validation β€’ Proven ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into data-driven solutions β€’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex or technical insights to non-technical audiences Security Experience (Highly Preferred) Candidates should have experience working with cybersecurity, IT, or risk-related data, such as: β€’ Security incident and SOC reporting β€’ Vulnerability management metrics (e.g., CVEs, CVSS, remediation trends) β€’ Risk, compliance, or GRC reporting β€’ Identity, access, or infrastructure security data β€’ Ticketing or workflow data from tools such as ServiceNow Hands-on security engineering experience is not required, but familiarity with how security organizations measure performance and risk is essential.
