The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing and building complex dimensional data models and producing visually compelling reports and dashboards. This role involves collaborating across teams to develop innovative, agency-wide data visualization solutions and delivering insightful, data-driven stories that enhance decision-making processes. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, with a strong command of Power BI, scripting languages (M, DAX, Python), and dashboard development. This position demands independent judgment, initiative, and a wide degree of creativity. Key Responsibilities: • Build and optimize dimensional data models from the ground up • Design interactive Power BI dashboards and visual reports tailored to business needs • Create, test, and deploy scripts using Power BI’s M, DAX, and Python languages • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-level BI solutions • Execute deep data analysis and provide actionable insights • Contribute to the evolution of agency-wide data practices and solutions • Mentor and provide guidance to junior BI developers as needed Note: Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered for this opportunity. Required Experience: • 8+ years of mastery in Data Analytics • 4+ years' experience using Power BI to create dashboards and interactive visual reports • 4+ years' experience creating, testing, and deploying Power BI Scripts (Python, M, DAX) and performing deep data analysis Preferred Experience: • 4+ years of prior experience in data-related tasks • 1+ years of previous experience with Source Control (Git/BitBucket) • 1+ years of previous experience with SAS datasets (.sas7bdat) • 1+ years of previous experience with Jira • 1+ years of previous state agency or government experience • 1+ years of previous experience with BI tools such as SAP or Tableau
