Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent work experience. ii. Power BI Certification b. Skills and Abilities i. Must be skilled in end-to-end development of Power BI software and integrated Power Platform tools (Apps/Automate) ii. Must be skilled in working with Business Units to translate business requirements into intuitive technical designs iii. Must be skilled in Data Modeling iv. Must be skilled in DAX and M language v. Must be skilled in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) in Power Query and enterprise tools vi. Must be skilled in testing and supporting application software and managing the secure hosting environment within network infrastructure vii. Must be proficient in data cleanup viii. Must be skilled in making critical recommendations on the development of new code versus the reuse of existing assets to maximize efficiency ix. Solid understanding of quality assurance and integration methodologies x. Skilled in managing the technical environment required to host dashboards securely within approved infrastructures xi. Skilled in component and data architecture design xii. Skilled in developing solutions requiring analysis and research xiii. Must be able to provide clear and effective training xiv. Must be highly self-motivated and directed xv. Must have strong analytical, organizational leadership, and interpersonal skills xvi. Full Systems Life Cycle: This candidate needs experience in the end-to-end development of Power BI software, ensuring that the centralized hosting platform and integrated Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) are delivered on time and within budget. iii. Experience with Technical Integrations. iv. Experience with Performance & Maintenance. v. Experience with understanding quality assurance and integration methodologies. d. General i. Office Automation/Productivity Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Visio, Word. ii. Native Connectors such as: Integrate Power BI with Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, SQL/Oracle databases, SharePoint, Salesforce, Google Analytics, APIs, custom connectors iii. Communication: Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experienced Toastmasters strongly preferred. 1. Responsibilities The Applications Development Analyst will serve as the primary resource for designing, coding, and testing the technical solutions that drive the Power Platform integration and dashboard hosting environment. a. Full Systems Life Cycle: This role is responsible for the end-to-end development of the Power BI software, ensuring that the centralized hosting platform and integrated Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) are delivered on time and within budget. b. Technical Integration: They will work closely with Business Units to translate business requirements into technical designs, aligning solutions with both Agency goals and IT strategies. c. Performance & Maintenance: Beyond initial builds, the Analyst will be responsible for testing, implementing, and supporting application software, making critical recommendations on the development of new code versus the reuse of existing assets to maximize efficiency. d. Cross-Environment Skillset: With a solid understanding of quality assurance and integration methodologies, they will manage the technical environment required to host dashboards securely within the Agency's approved web infrastructure and participate in component and data architecture design. i. Communicate consistently and effectively with the APD staff, Executive Leadership and stakeholders. ii. Collaborate with internal APD resources, including Information Security Manager, Data Unit, and EDW team to ensure completion of project within applicable regulatory, legal and security requirements. iii. Work effectively with cross-functional business units and groups with varying functional backgrounds (operational, technical, managerial, programmatic, etc.). iv. Build partnerships and collaboration between individuals and project teams.
