We use a variety of programming languages and tools to create analytic solutions, often fitting within our clients’ environment and needs. Summary Of Position We have a current project that will require a migration from one platform to another. As a Power BI Developer, you will work collaboratively with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to define and implement the data-driven solutions that solve our clients’ most pressing and valuable problems. Since we are a growing team within a small consultancy, independence, autonomy, and a focus on self-learning are key requirements for all of our team members. Job Specifications/Requirements • BA/BS in a technical field (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Biology, Physics) • Experience as a Power BI Developer. • Familiarity with an open-source, Data Science language (e.g., Python, R) • Familiarity with using and creating dashboards using a business intelligence tool (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) • Knowledge of descriptive statistics, data analysis, and unsupervised and supervised algorithms • Strong English-language speaking, presentation, and writing skills • Project-based, team-oriented experience • Demonstrated practice of independent study and learning • Ability to Translate and communicate Analytical, Data Science, and Machine Learning concepts into client language and context • Must be able to travel and work on site at local client sites if required. • Eligibility and ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust. Desired Skills • 1-2 years of experience performing data analysis on structured data • 1-2 years of experience creating data visualizations using a business intelligence tool (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) • 1-2 years of experience in Data Science or other technical field • Exposure to or familiarity with SQL databases and executing queries (in MS SQL or other relational database management system) • Exposure to or familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure for cloud computing • Familiarity with Git for version control and technical documentation About Elder Research, Inc Elder Research is a fast growing consulting firm specializing in predictive analytics.
