Role description
We’re seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract, this role will be based at our Milton Keynes site and will be offered on a hybrid basis. In this pivotal role you’ll design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making across the business. The role will also involve collaboration with stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions are aligned with business needs and continuously improved. Key responsibilities: β€’ Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business operations and strategic initiatives. β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualisations. β€’ Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting solutions. β€’ Optimise Power BI performance and implement best practices in data modelling and DAX. β€’ Provide training and support to users on Power BI usage and self-service capabilities. β€’ Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure reporting solutions meet operational needs. β€’ Maintain documentation for all reporting solutions and data sources. β€’ Ensure compliance with company policies, including data governance and security standards. β€’ Support integration of Power BI with other business applications and data sources. This job description summarises the main aspects of the role but does not cover all the duties that the jobholder may reasonably be required to perform at the request of their line manager. Education and Experience: β€’ Proven experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI. β€’ Strong understanding of data modelling, DAX, and Power Query. β€’ Experience with SQL and relational databases. β€’ Familiarity with ERP systems and business processes is desirable. Key Competencies: β€’ Self-motivated and proactive. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. β€’ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. β€’ Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. β€’ High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. β€’ Good understanding of data governance and security principles. Other requirements: β€’ SC cleared or ability to obtain β€’ This is a hybrid role based in Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to other UK sites as required.
