Power BI Developer

We’re seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract, this role will be based at our Milton Keynes site and will be offered on a hybrid basis. In this pivotal role you’ll design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making across the business. The role will also involve collaboration with stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions are aligned with business needs and continuously improved. Key responsibilities: • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business operations and strategic initiatives. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data visualisations. • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting solutions. • Optimise Power BI performance and implement best practices in data modelling and DAX. • Provide training and support to users on Power BI usage and self-service capabilities. • Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure reporting solutions meet operational needs. • Maintain documentation for all reporting solutions and data sources. • Ensure compliance with company policies, including data governance and security standards. • Support integration of Power BI with other business applications and data sources. Education and Experience: • Proven experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI. • Strong understanding of data modelling, DAX, and Power Query. • Experience with SQL and relational databases. • Familiarity with ERP systems and business processes is desirable. Key Competencies: • Self-motivated and proactive. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. • Good understanding of data governance and security principles. Other requirements: • SC cleared or ability to obtain • This is a hybrid role based in Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to other UK sites as required.
