Power BI Specialist/Developer II   Role: PowerBi Developer Location: Houston TX, 77002 – Onsite (Local to Houston Only) Duration: Long Term Contract Required Skills • 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and data analytics. • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • Expert-level proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language) and SQL. • Understands architectural principals, and can optimize data retrieval and storage, using architecture best-practices, while ensuring compliance to security, data governance, and data management; including but not limited to CI/CD pipelines. • Strong understanding of data modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and ETL processes. • Proven ability to distill complex data into intuitive visualizations and workflows. • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. • Documentation: Creates comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse). • Familiarity with Power Query (M Language) and Power BI Service administration. • Background in finance, operations, or other data-intensive domains. • Photography as a hobby or visual design interest-a plus, as it aligns with storytelling through data and visual composition. • Power BI certifications are a plus.
