Position: PowerBuilder Developer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: (Remote)Minnesota
Required Qualifications:
Β· Work with Client staff and MDH business partners on bugs and defect fixes, maintenance, and enhancements for PowerBuilder applications, as tracked through Jira
Β· Troubleshoot legacy PowerBuilder application issues and work with Technical Lead(s), MNIT App Dev Lead(s), and Business to resolve
Β· Perform unit/code testing in accordance with industry standards and MNIT standard procedures
Β· Support QA Testing and UAT testing in accordance with industry standards and MNIT standard procedures
Β· Perform source code management, change management, and release management in accordance with MNIT/MDH processes
Β· Perform development tasks to support Drinking Water Protection modernization efforts
Β· Participate in team meetings, project planning meetings, and stand-up meetings
Β· Participate in requirements review, code review, sprint planning/review activities, and current state analysis as assigned
Β· Estimate effort/duration for tasks
Β· Communicate status, issues, and roadblocks, and work with Technical Lead(s) and SME(s) to resolve
Β· Work on future state Java migrations/applications as requested
Β· Provide knowledge transfer to State staff
Β· Perform other related duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
Β· Experience in PowerBuilder application development role(s)
Β· Experience writing PL/SQL database procedures
Β· Experience using PFC class libraries
Β· Experience with Client Server (VB, Delphi, or PowerBuilder)
Β· Experience with Git source code management tool
Β· Experience with SQL as relates to CRUD Operations and/or View creation
Β· Experience with Oracle Relational Database
Β· Experience picking up legacy technology and updating code or fixing errors in code
Β· Experience with JavaScript and related frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
