Role description
Role: Principal Data Engineer Location: Cincinnati Ohio (Onsite) Contract JOB DESCRIPTION An experienced Data Engineer to work in Financial Crimes, Disputes, and Risk Information Technology, focused on Fraud. Where they will develop new data features and provide support of data integrations and data products with more experienced engineers across disciplines. Specifically, building and maintaining integrations via ETL (DataStage) and data products (Snowflake). Data Architects build and maintain a company’s database by identifying structural and installation solutions. They work with database administrators and analysts to secure easy access to company data. Duties include creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports. Must Have Skills β€’ Databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2, Etc) β€’ DBT β€’ Elevate β€’ ETL (DataStage) β€’ Snowflake β€’ SQL Nice To Have β€’ Financial Services/Banking β€’ Job Monitoring (SiteScope, Dynatrace, Etc) β€’ Kafka β€’ Scripting (Python, SAS) Primary Responsibilities: β€’ Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data. β€’ Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming. β€’ Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations. β€’ Install and organize information systems to guarantee company functionality. β€’ Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams. β€’ Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions. β€’ Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features. β€’ Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems. β€’ Educate staff members through training and individual support. β€’ Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner. Qualifications: β€’ Technical Degree or related work experience β€’ Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements β€’ Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques β€’ Knowledge of programming languages (C, PHP, ect) β€’ Expertise database technologies (SQL, Oracle, ect)
