POSITION TITLE: Principal Database Engineer – Equity Trading
DURATION: 12-month assignment (potential for extension)
LOCATION: Boston, MA or Westlake, TX (2 weeks onsite per month)
Must Have Skills:
• Strong Oracle & PL/SQL development expertise
• Data engineering mindset with eagerness to learn Equity Trading business
• Experience in Agile environments
• Exposure to Snowflake, Python, and AWS is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with agile teams to build software solutions for Equity Trading products
• Write high-performance PL/SQL code and contribute to data analysis
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks
• Design and implement robust, scalable software solutions
• Communicate design decisions and technical options effectively to both technical and non-technical teams
What You Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or Computer Science
• 12+ years of software engineering experience, especially in agile development
• Proficiency in PL/SQL with a focus on quality and performance
• Data analysis skills and experience with Snowflake, Python, and AWS (preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD practices and test automation frameworks
• Ability to document and present technical decisions clearly
