Our Aurora Software and Controls Department is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer OR Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer to join our 200+ Technical staff in various leadership roles, Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators, and Network Engineers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. This engineering organization supports numerous programs within the Payload and Ground Systems organization. We have plenty of opportunity for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. We are part of a larger local engineering organization that includes Systems Engineering and Hardware Engineering staff. This overall local engineering organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers.
This program is a large multi-site distributed ground system development program with multiple software scrum teams on contract to deliver the Ground Segment for a restricted space program. The program spans command and control, mission planning and scheduling, and system infrastructure. The program has anticipated future growth to deliver additional ground capabilities beyond the current contract.
Basic Qualification
β’ Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance and a favorably adjudicated polygraph at time of application
β’ Minimum years of experience needed to be considered:
β’ Level 3 (Principal)
β’ 5 Years of relevant DevOps experience with a completed bachelorβs degree
β’ 3 Years of relevant DevOps experience with a completed master's degree
β’ 1 Year of relevant DevOps experience with a completed PhD
β’ 7 Years of relevant DevOps experience with a completed associateβs degree
β’ 9 years of relevant DevOps experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required)
β’ Level 4 (Sr Principal)
β’ 8 Years of relevant DevOps experience with a completed bachelorβs degree
β’ 6 Years of relevant DevOps experience with a completed master's degree
β’ 4 Year of relevant DevOps experience with a completed PhD
β’ 10 Years of relevant DevOps experience with a completed associateβs degree
β’ 12 years of relevant DevOps experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required)
β’ Current and active Security+ or CISSP certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of start
β’ Knowledgeable in development of CI/CD Pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
β’ Experience with Terraform and environment initialization
Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
