Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Java/API/AWS/Jenkins in Westlake, TX. Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implementation of software solutions that meet requirements and are aligned to the project/program strategic direction
β’ Adhere to engineering best practices and participate in design and code reviews
β’ Develop and maintain partnerships across the organization
β’ Work as part of a team in a collaborative environment to deliver an exceptional experience for our clients
β’ Expert understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
β’ Identify creative ways to drive desired outcomes and promote culture of innovation by setting examples
β’ Collaborate with peers through code reviews, pair programming or interactive discussions daily
β’ Follow outstanding software engineering practices and always looking to improve your engineering skills and industry knowledge
β’ Bring a data-driven and team approach to decision making, both in day-to-day work and in making strategic trade-offs
β’ Familiarity with delivering solutions to the market and having them scale for product growth with recognition of technology trends in implementing business applications
β’ Collaboration with business and technology partners to define and deliver our strategy and roadmap based upon business requirements
β’ Engage with distributed team of developers in leading standard methodologies for software engineering
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
β’ Solid foundation in Computer Science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
β’ Certifications in, and working experience with, AWS
β’ 10+ years of development experience with strong working knowledge of Java and Spring/Spring Boot, Angular TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
β’ 2-3 years of experience in Agile development
β’ Strong experience with web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, YAML, etc.)
β’ Experience with Jira
β’ Proven experience in building and deploying software solutions using public cloud provider services like AWS using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Udeploy
β’ Experience with writing manual test cases as well as experience using test automation and frameworks like Cucumber, Karate, Insomnia
β’ Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation, micro-services, and experience in detailing APIs using an API documentation framework (Swagger)
β’ Solid understanding in application development with micro architectures
β’ Strong knowledge of API gateways such as Stratum, WSO2, and Tomcat
β’ Knowledge of logging and observability concepts and the usage of tools such as Datadog and Splunk
β’ Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI and CD pipelines including Unit, Component, Functional, Performance, and Security test automation
β’ Exposure to domain design, micro services architecture, data aggregation, service integration
β’ Conversant in REST API authentication including OAuth, SAML and JWT
β’ Standout colleague, self-starter, collaborative, innovative and eager to learn every day
β’ Excellent communication and documentation skills
β’ Ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
