Summary:
Letβs do this! Letβs change the world! In this vital role you will be a part of the Process Development Drug Substance Technology group at our Company. The Process Development Associate will help design and perform experiments at the bench scale that span the end-to-end Drug Substance process, covering cell culture and/or purification operations. In this role, you will apply established platform approaches and utilize problem-solving skills to rapidly solve day-to-day experimental challenges. Additionally, the Process Development Associate will utilize out-of-the-box thinking to contribute to technology development and will demonstrate the desire to expand and develop expertise in cell culture and/or purification, thereby further contributing to the integrated group.
Responsibilities:
β’ Perform small-scale bioprocess experiments that encompass cell culture and/or purification operations
β’ Ensure safety and compliance of process development activities
β’ Experimental design and data interpretation, leveraging in-house visualization and analytics tools
β’ Contribute within a project team on commercial manufacturing goals such as improving process yield and robustness, and scaling-up processes to manufacturing sites
β’ Provide scientific technical support for technology transfer of processes to manufacturing sites
β’ Communication of findings through oral presentations and written documentation (technical reports as well as GMP documents to support regulatory filings)
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biomedical, or related Engineering; Life Sciences; or other relevant sciences
β’ Experience and demonstrated interest in laboratory work, particularly hands-on experience with cell culture and/or purification operations
β’ Basic understanding of cell culture, protein chromatography, and filtration principles
β’ Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems by applying scientific and engineering principles, preferably in a process development environment
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexibly in a dynamic and collaborative environment with diverse team members
Desired Skills:
β’ Basic understanding of cell culture, protein chromatography, and filtration principles.
β’ BS degree preferred
β’ Downstream experience
β’ Must be proficient in Microsoft excel and basic computer skills
β’ Flexibility with schedule based on lab needs (may 2-3 days per month require more hours)
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
