Role description
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Process Improvement Data Analyst. Type: ContractJob Title: Process Improvement Data AnalystLocation: Fairport, NYNote: Will be supporting onsite 4–5 days/week during the training period. Once complete, a hybrid schedule of 3–4 days onsite & 1–2 days remote will apply.Pay Rate: $40-$45/hourWork Hours: M-F 8am–5pmEducation: Associate’s degree (minimum) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Description The Process Improvement Data Analyst will support the Project/Program Management group in driving process improvement initiatives across the organization. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing and maintaining metrics, dashboards, and digital workflows. The position will focus on enhancing visibility into project performance, resource utilization, and process efficiency through tools such as Power BI, Planview, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, experienced with Microsoft 365 Power Platform tools, and able to collaborate across functions to support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to track KPIs and project metrics. Support migration of project management data/workflows from SharePoint to Planview while ensuring data integrity. Assist in transitioning SharePoint 2016 content to a modern SharePoint environment (workflows, lists, document libraries). Design and implement Power Automate workflows to streamline manual processes. Develop Power Apps to digitize forms and enable mobile-friendly data entry/tracking. Collaborate with process improvement teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions. Ensure data quality and consistency with validation rules and regular audits. Document processes, create training materials, and support onboarding to new tools. Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for strategic planning and decision-making. Stay current on updates and best practices in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Planview, and SharePoint. Required Qualifications Education Associate’s degree (minimum) in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Qualifications 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or project support role. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate). Experience with Planview or similar project portfolio management tools. Familiarity with SharePoint administration and workflow migration. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in written and spoken English. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Expertise in data visualization and storytelling with Power BI. Understanding of project management principles and tools. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and focus on data accuracy. Technically curious and eager to learn new tools/technologies. Desired Skills Experience with Planview configuration and reporting. Knowledge of data governance/master data management. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies. Experience in manufacturing or operations environments.
