Position Overview:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Transportation Worker to support traffic crash data analysis and geolocation tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience using Signal Four Analytics and a strong ability to work independently in a flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret Florida Traffic Crash Reports.
Determine crash locations and enter geocoordinates using Signal Four Analytics.
Perform repetitive data analysis tasks with a target of 30 records/hour at 98% accuracy.
Operate vehicles and coordinate traffic as needed (if applicable).
Collaborate with a team of geolocation specialists; at least 30% of the team is trained in Signal Four.
Use maps, web browsers, and online collaboration tools effectively.
Required Qualifications:
Mandatory prior experience with Signal Four Analytics for crash location mapping and data entry.
Ability to read and interpret maps accurately.
Proficiency in using web-based tools and collaborative platforms.
Strong attention to detail and consistency in repetitive tasks.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in transportation operations or traffic coordination.
Familiarity with FDOT procedures and reporting standards.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
