Role description
Position Title: Process Improvement Data Analyst Duration: 12+ Months Location: Fairport, NY Pay Rate: $50.00/Hr. on W2 Scope of Position: β€’ Support the Project/Program Management group in driving process improvement initiatives across the organization. β€’ This Analyst will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing and maintaining metrics, dashboards, and digital workflows. β€’ The role will focus on enhancing visibility into project performance, resource utilization, and process efficiency through tools like Power BI, Planview, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint. β€’ The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform tools, and the ability to collaborate across functions to support continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics. β€’ Support the migration of project management data and workflows from SharePoint to Planview, ensuring data integrity and usability. β€’ Assist in the transition of SharePoint 2016 content to a modern SharePoint environment, including workflows, lists, and document libraries. β€’ Design and implement Power Automate workflows to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency. β€’ Support the development of Power Apps to digitize forms and enable mobile-friendly data entry and tracking. β€’ Collaborate with process improvement teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data and automation solutions. β€’ Ensure data quality and consistency across systems by developing validation rules and performing regular audits. β€’ Document processes, create training materials, and support onboarding of team members to new tools and systems. β€’ Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning. β€’ Stay current with updates and best practices in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Planview, and SharePoint. Required Education/Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. (preferred). Associate's degree (minimum required) plus relevant experience. β€’ 3-5 years of experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or project support role. β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. β€’ Experience with Planview or similar project portfolio management tools. β€’ Familiarity with SharePoint administration and workflow migration. β€’ Strong communication and collaboration skills. β€’ Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Fluent in written and spoken English. Required Skills: β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. β€’ Experience in data visualization and storytelling with Power BI. β€’ Understanding of project management principles and tools. β€’ Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. β€’ Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality. β€’ Technically curious and eager to learn new tools and technologies. Desired Skills: β€’ Experience with Planview configuration and reporting. β€’ Knowledge of data governance and master data management concepts. β€’ Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. β€’ Experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment. β€’ Exposure to ETL processes, data modeling, or cloud-based data platforms.
