Job Title: Product Analyst – Data & Analytics
• Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid through January; On-site 5 days/week starting January)
• Type: Contract (Immediate Start) with opportunity to extend and possible hire
• Job Summary:
• We are seeking a Product Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team for an immediate opening. This is a critical role requiring a self-driven, experienced professional who can contribute from day one. The ideal candidate will partner with Product Owners, Program Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to drive forward key data initiatives in a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Gather and document business and technical requirements
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories
• Facilitate team refinement sessions and support sprint commitments
• Lead and execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and vendor partners
• Validate requirements and test results through hands-on data analysis and SQL queries
• Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Experienced in product or business systems analysis, preferably in data and analytics domains
• Comfortable working independently and able to thrive with minimal supervision
• Adaptable and proactive in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Brings a strong analytical mindset and clear communication skills
• Capable of raising the standard for Product Analyst capabilities
• Qualifications:
• Proven track record in product or business systems analysis
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Hands-on experience planning and executing UAT
• Strong SQL and data validation skills
• Excellent documentation, collaboration, and communication abilities
• Familiarity with Microsoft data tools (Power BI, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric) is a plus
• Team & Environment Overview:
• Join a collaborative Data & Analytics team that includes:
• 6 Data Engineers (mix of FTEs and contractors)
• 4 Data Analysts
• 2 Data Scientists
• A dedicated Architect
• Work within a Microsoft-based tech stack including:
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Microsoft Fabric (early-stage project underway)
• Legacy on-premises data systems
