Digital Merchandising - Mid-level Assignment
Location: Remote (Creve Coeur, MO Area)
Employment Type: Temporary (6-month contract length)
Target Start Date: December 10, 2025
Pay Rate Range: $37.50 / hour
Role Summary
We are seeking a Mid-level Digital Merchandising Specialist to join our Sales team. This is a remote, temporary (6-month) assignment with significant responsibility focused on engaging shoppers and guiding them toward purchases in digital channels. The specialist will define, execute, and measure the online/digital merchandising strategy (covering traffic, search, content, and placement) to ensure the online portfolio achieves maximum exposure and best performance for both the company and our customers. This role requires moderate to extensive knowledge in the discipline and the ability to solve complex problems using existing solutions.
Assignment Scope & Accountability
This mid-level role carries increased proficiency and responsibility, recognizing differences beyond a basic assignment level.
β’ Execution & Accountability: Perform a range of mainly straightforward assignments initially, while developing toward having full accountability for specific processes or business objectives within the digital merchandising function.
β’ Project Leadership: Build knowledge of company processes and customers by leading projects or project steps within broader digital shelf initiatives.
β’ Problem Resolution: Typically resolve problems using existing solutions but may also be required to take a new perspective to solve complex issues.
β’ Guidance & Leadership: Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. May also provide guidance or leadership to other Associates (up to 3 in Business Operations and Technical roles).
Key Responsibilities (Digital Merchandising)
The specialist will focus on the Digital Merchandising function, which involves:
β’ Digital Strategy Execution: Defining, executing, and measuring the online/digital merchandising strategy across various digital channels and customers.
β’ Customer Engagement: Engaging shoppers and implementing solutions, promotions, and offers to effectively guide them toward making a purchase.
β’ Performance Optimization: Monitoring and reporting on the digital merchandising strategy across traffic, search, content, and placement to ensure the online portfolio achieves maximum exposure and best performance.
β’ Category Alignment: Working closely with customer management to ensure alignment and execution against category and brand strategies.
β’ Demand Enhancement: Directing and overseeing category management joint-working projects with key customers to play an integral role in enhancing demand in a cost-effective way.
Required Qualifications
β’ Education: Undergraduate Degree.
β’ Experience: Moderate to extensive knowledge and experience in digital merchandising or related sales/category discipline.
β’ Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in managing digital channels, optimizing product placement, and understanding core business metrics influenced by online merchandising.
β’ Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, collaborative, and organizational skills, with a focus on driving results.
