Job Title: Product SME β Marketing & Trading Systems

Are you passionate about trading technologies and looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, global environment? We are seeking a skilled Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the operational environment of a Marketing and Trading (M&T) platform within a global enterprise system landscape.
This is a critical role, acting as the bridge between the business and IS&D (Information Systems & Digital), ensuring stability, security, and continuous improvement in trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Serve as a focal point for M&T business users, supporting daily operations across trading systems.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with a focus on minimizing business impact.
β’ Collaborate with regional teams (London and Aberdeen) to deliver stable and secure platform operations.
β’ Engage in Incident, Change, and Problem Management using ITIL processes.
β’ Implement continuous improvements in real-time support and operational efficiency.
β’ Align operations with regulatory frameworks, including EMIR and REMIT.
β’ Provide insight and support across trading platforms and data feeds.
Required Experience & Skills:
β’ In-depth knowledge of real-time markets, liquidity, positions, and exposures.
β’ Familiarity with M&T platforms such as Trayport, WebICE, Aspect, and EgssPort.
β’ Experience with trade execution systems in the oil and gas sector.
β’ Strong understanding of front-office trading technology and the end-to-end oil and gas trading lifecycle.
β’ Technical expertise across:
β’ Databases: Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL, NoSQL
β’ Operating Systems: Windows
β’ Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning (DR/BCP).
β’ Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit requirements in trading environments.
β’ Ability to work with global teams in a cross-regional setup.
Desirable Skills:
β’ ITIL certification or practical ITIL experience.
β’ Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and third-party vendor management.
β’ Analytical capabilities to assess and optimize product and process performance.
β’ Experience with cloud-based technologies and open-source tools.
β’ Exposure to market data feeds (e.g., FIS Market Maps Energy).
