Job Title: Product Specialist 3
Location: Columbus, OH
Work Model: Onsite

Position Overview
Software developer for enterprise tax system
What You Will Be Doing
• Implement Tax Logic: Design, code, and test the complex algorithms and formulas that automate tax calculations, deductions, and credits, ensuring they precisely match the current tax regulations
• Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Proactively monitor and quickly implement updates to the system's code and databases in response to new tax laws, rate changes and mandated electronic filing form revisions to ensure continuous compliance.
• Ensure Data Security: Build and maintain the application with rigorous security controls, encryption, and data validation to protect highly sensitive financial and tax information from unauthorized access or error.
• Collaborate with Tax Experts: Work closely with Tax Accountants and Finance professionals to gather detailed requirements, validate the accuracy of the software's results, and translate complex tax legislation into clear technical specifications.
What's Needed
• Primary Technology: C#, Visual Studio, SQL Database Required
• Experience in GenTax solution Highly desired
• Make sound recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the product. Required
• Analyze the functional and technical impact of product planning decisions. Required
• Develop appropriate functional and usability standards for products. Required
• Track and document expected volume and type of use of the product. Required
• Participate in product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements. Required
• Perform impact analysis on production fixes and enhancements to establish priorities. Required
• Provide basic product support and provide accurate and complete answers to detailed product questions in a timely manner. Required
• Provide effective on-site product support as needed. Required
• Accurately sets severity of identified defects. Required
• Provide input to training and / or documentation materials regarding latest technical and functional design changes. Required
• Document all work for future reference. Required
