Demand Planning Analyst β Forecasting & Supply Strategy
Anticipate demand, influence strategy, and help shape how products reach customers.
β’ This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, business insight, and supply chain executionβturning trends and signals into actionable forecasts that drive real-world decisions.
β’ You will play a central role in predicting demand across multiple distribution channels, ensuring that inventory, production, and customer needs remain aligned in a fast-moving, multi-channel environment.
Role Overview
As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will develop and refine forecasting models that support retail, e-commerce, and live event distribution channels. Your work will directly influence supply chain planning, inventory strategy, and overall business performance.
This role requires a blend of analytical rigor and cross-functional collaboration, working closely with teams across sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain operations to ensure forecasts are accurate, actionable, and continuously improving.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Forecast Development & Modeling
β’ Analyze historical performance, identify demand drivers, and build statistical models to generate accurate forecasts across multiple sales channels.
β’ Interpret sales patterns, market signals, and business inputs to refine projections and improve forecast accuracy over time.
β’ Partner with teams across retail, digital commerce, customer engagement, and finance to align on assumptions, reconcile variances, and build consensus around demand plans.
β’ Continuously enhance forecasting methodologies by incorporating risk analysis, error tracking, and growth projections into planning models.
β’ Provide insights to supply planning teams to support inventory strategies, including product launches, lifecycle transitions, and replenishment planning.
β’ Lead collaborative planning discussions, preparing materials and guiding conversations to ensure alignment across stakeholders
β’ Maintain forecasting systems and ensure data accuracy, including product hierarchies and planning inputs
β’ Track forecast accuracy and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving corrective actions.
What You Bring
β’ Forecasting & Analytical Expertise: Experience applying statistical methods and data analysis to demand planning or forecasting challenges.
β’ Business Acumen:Understanding of how forecasting impacts inventory, financial planning, and overall supply chain performance.
β’ Technical Skills: Familiarity with demand planning systems (such as SAP APO or similar) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools.
β’ Problem Solving: Ability to assess complex situations, identify root causes of variance, and recommend data-driven solutions.
β’ Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions.
β’ Organization & Execution: Capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
β’ Approximately 2β3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical field.
β’ Demonstrated experience working with statistical forecasting methods and tools.
β’ Exposure to supply chain planning processes and cross-functional collaboration is highly valued.
