Job Summary:
We are seeking a Python Developer to support new development, ETL/database initiatives, and conversion projects within an Agile environment. This role is based in Pittsburgh, PA with collaboration across global teams (including India). The developer will play a key role in building and maintaining ETL pipelines, supporting metrics reporting, and ensuring data quality while adhering to firm standards and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• ETL & Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and database processes using Python, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and SSIS.
• Agile Delivery: Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, complete sprint work, and deliver enhancements such as field additions and process improvements.
• Data Quality & Monitoring: Run pipelines, monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Ramp up by shadowing team members in NYC and India, gradually taking ownership of projects while sharing learnings and supporting documentation.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of professional development experience with strong Python and SQL expertise
• Hands-on experience with ETL design and development
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS
• Background working in Agile environments (Jira, GitLab)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience:
• IBM Apptio Targetprocess (TPro)
• Data analytics & visualization (PowerBI)
• Experience working in global, cross-time-zone teams
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design
