Job Role: Python Developer Location: New York City, NY Mode of Hiring: Contract Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in PySpark, SQL, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data engineering, ETL testing, and automation, with the ability to work closely with both onsite and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement automated tests for data pipelines and software systems. • Debug and define corrective actions to address identified issues. • Review system requirements and ensure they are reflected in test cases. • Track and analyse quality assurance (QA) metrics to monitor product health. • Collaborate with development teams to ensure consistent and high-quality project delivery. • Develop and apply testing processes for both new and existing software products. • Coordinate with offshore QA teams to ensure smooth integration and execution of testing processes. Key Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field, with minimum 10+ Years of relevant experience • Proficiency in Python and PySpark • Strong experience in SQL (preferably Databricks SQL) • Solid understanding of ETL testing methodologies and frameworks • Hands-on experience with Databricks • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms AWS preferred, Azure or Google Cloud Platform acceptable • Excellent debugging, documentation, and communication skills • Ability to work with distributed teams and manage time zones effectively • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. • Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail
