Python Automation Developer – 12-month Contract Rate: £557.65/day (Inside IR35) A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Python Automation Developer to join their automation team on a 12-month contract. This role is primarily back-end (around 80%) but offers opportunities to work across the full stack with some front-end exposure. What you’ll do • Design and develop intelligent automation solutions using Python • Lead code reviews, ensuring quality and consistency across the team • Build and maintain APIs, integrate third-party services, and manage Postgres databases • Develop test strategies, plans and scripts for new and existing features • Contribute to multiple projects while balancing new feature development with documentation and on-time delivery • Communicate progress in sprint reviews, demos and planning sessions Key skills & experience • 7+ years in Python development with 2+ years leading or reviewing code • Strong automation background with Selenium and iOS functional automation • Full SDLC testing experience from inception to delivery • Experience in front-end development (JavaScript, React) • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins) • Familiarity with data handling and ETL processes using libraries such as Pandas Nice to have • Experience building LLM applications, MCP servers, agents, or RAG systems • Automated data analytics and reporting across multiple systems Why join • High-impact role in a modern automation environment • Flexible hybrid working – 3 days on-site, 2 from home • Opportunity to work on AI-based intelligent automation projects This contract is inside IR35 and requires someone who can hit the ground running in a fast-moving team.
