Python Developer – IT Trading Team
We're partnered with a leading European energy trading company who are seeking a Python developer to strengthen their front office team.
Your Responsibilities
Provide support for existing applications, proposing improvements and streamlining solutions.
Advise and assist users who develop their own tools, sharing expertise and promoting best practices
Heavy focus on development with elements of support.
Location
Fully remote - occasional travel to office in Geneva
Your Qualifications
• Experience within the energy/commodities trading space
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of Excel and Excel VBA.
Excellent Python skills; Pandas experience required.
Solid background in software engineering.
Hands-on experience providing 1st or 2nd level support for business-critical applications.
Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Strong personal attributes: resilient under pressure, results-oriented, analytical, and able to quickly identify and resolve issues.
Good English skills required; French and/or German are a plus
Additional appreciated skills: Java, AWS Cloud Services, Bash scripting, Full Stack development.
