We are looking for a passionate Python developer who can work collaboratively with different kinds of developers and leads. Their main responsibility will be building and maintaining server-side applications in Python. They will also support the needs of the user-facing side of the system. The candidate must have the ability to be both technically and socially proficient to deliver the best product.
Python Developer Responsibilities:
As part of our team, you will:
β’ Write structured, clean, reusable, and testable code using Python
β’ Implement well-designed, high-performance applications for the server-side
β’ Integrate user-facing components built by front-end developers with the logic of the back-end
β’ Manage data storage and solutions for application robustness
β’ Implement security and data protection functions
β’ Translate client requirements into properly structured server-side logic
β’ Test own code and peer-review output from fellow developers
β’ Work closely with the product owner to cross-check system logic vs. the requirements [or something else specific]
Requirements:
We want Python developers with:
β’ Expertise in Python and its Django framework [or another framework you use]
β’ Experience with Object Relational Mapper (OPM) libraries
β’ Knowledge of the threading functions of Python and its limitations
β’ Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
β’ Mastery in user authentication and authorization between multiple applications and environments
β’ 5 years of experience in Python development
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β’ Degree in computer science or related field is a plus
β’ Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required
Directly from the hiring manager:
1. Need an experienced professional software developer who worked on an application development team. We are not looking for someone that are really analytics or data science people who are interested in machine learning and have used python as a prototyping or simulation tool, but arenβt really building production ready, supportable, maintainable applications.
1. They need to know Python. This does not mean that they have used that language exclusively or that their resume is written to sell them as a βPythonβ developer. It does mean that they know the syntax and deployment patterns and can start working in that language on day one.
1. We need good communication skills. The candidate will be part of a cross geographical team and must be a clear communicator both in person and over the phone.
You will be successful in the interview process if you,
β’ Are smart and can demonstrate it
β’ Have experience as a senior software developer for high-tech products or services
β’ Have 5+ years of Python programming experience in a production environment
β’ Have a proven history of solving complex problems both in code and in person
Nice-to-haves:
β’ Event-driven, messaging, or stream processing experience
β’ AWS, GCP, or Azure experience β AWS preferred
β’ DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, or Openshift experience
β’ Machine learning experience
