Rate Range: $41.00 - $45.00 P/HR; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Summary:
Looking for a seasoned Backend Python Developer with robust SQL skills to join our engineering team in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in backend development, data-centric application design, and performance optimization. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, developing APIs, and integrating with relational databases to support enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
β’ Design and optimize relational database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or SQL Server.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-performance backend solutions.
β’ Implement automation scripts and data pipelines for ETL and analytics workflows.
β’ Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
β’ Integrate backend systems with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Required Skills:
β’ At least eight (8) years of experience in Python backend development
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database design
β’ Experience with RESTful API development and integration
β’ Familiarity with cloud services and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
β’ Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP principles
β’ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
