On-Site Means they will be working at a Raytheon Facility. Contractor or Contract to Hire. Oracle Database Software Engineer Job Summary: Raytheon provides end-to-end space solutions from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat. Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt. In this role you will work as a Database engineer onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software. Responsibilities to Anticipate: • Perform software development of large-scale database solutions. • Troubleshoot and fix complex software problems. • Performance tuning of database objects and queries. • Installation, patching, and upgrades of Oracle Database Software. Basic Qualifications: • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. • Oracle 19c RAC Database Administration experience. • Experience with BASH or other similar scripting languages. • An active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
