Python Developer Day 1 Onsite Cupertino, CA β€’ β€’ Must be a 𝗨𝗦 π—–π—Άπ˜π—Άπ˜‡π—²π—» to be considered β€’ β€’ 6+ months contract with potential extension for long term Hybrid – 3 days onsite and 2 days remote Direct client opportunity No mid layer / No Implementation partners are Involved Key Qualifications β€’ 6+ years of experience with designing and developing web services applications. β€’ Strong experience with providing and consuming web services / APIs (REST, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger) β€’ Experience with modern Python and frameworks (FastAPI/Flask, SQLAlchemy Core, Pydantic, Httpx, Alembic, Pytest, Ruff, Pyright, or similar) β€’ Strong experience with data modeling using relational databases, Writing and optimizing complex queries using SQL (Postgres) β€’ Strong experience with Git, Bug tracking, and collaborating with a software team β€’ Basic understanding of Containerization and DevOps processes (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD) β€’ Basic understanding of Data Engineering a plus (ETL, Data warehouses) β€’ Basic understanding of Frontend web a plus (Vue/React, Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS) β€’ Strong debugging and diagnostic skills β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills β€’ Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills β€’ Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills β€’ Self-directed, analytical, and collaborative with a constant desire to learn, improve, and make things better β€’ Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team of PMs, designers and other developers Job Description Under the supervision of a Places Technology Tech Lead, a software engineer is responsible for the following: β€’ Estimate, plan, and implement software development work. β€’ Work closely with product manager to gather requirements to build new modules or improve existing modules. β€’ Evaluate, maintain and improve existing code base to ensure that it is properly structured and utilize software engineering best practices. β€’ Troubleshoot, identify, and research reported issues, and have the ability to provide recommendations by comparing advantages and disadvantages of various solutions. β€’ Stay on top of new technologies and tools, and adopt relevant ones to the team. β€’ Participate in peer reviews, learn and apply software engineering best practices to your work. β€’ Accountable for meeting assigned project objectives and timelines. β€’ Set engineering vision and direction for existing and future applications. Education/Experience BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant experience in corporate environment Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
