Position: Developer I (Python Developer)
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid)
Description:
Leads development efforts to design, develop and implement target state cloud-based technologies across the enterprise. Work with the stakeholders and other enterprise developers to formulate plans and solutions that support the enterprise goals, implement efficient end-to-end processes and leverage use of existing IT assets. Align strategic goals and objectives with key business and IT initiatives. Work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, industry standard techniques and best practices.
Skills:
1. Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using agile methodologies
1. Solid knowledge of the programming language(s), application server, compute, database server and/or architecture of the system being developed
1. Knowledge of AWS Cloud development and associated service
1. Solid understanding of current programming languages and employs any/all of these languages to solve the business needs of FNM's internal customers
1. Knowledge of one or more of the following languages/services: Python, SQL, Glue ETL, ECS, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, DMS, SQS/SNS, PostGres RDS, S3, Oracle and Java.
1. Knowledge of Test Automation tools and best practices
Education/Experience:
1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
1. Professional certification(s) desired
1. 1-2 years of related experience in their specific area and
1. Financial services experience a plus.
