Overview
We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer to support the development of automation tools, internal applications, and operational solutions within a cloud-based environment. This role focuses on building Python based automation, developing lightweight internal dashboards, and supporting engineering teams through tooling and infrastructure improvements.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across development and operational environments and can quickly prototype solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python including scripts, workflows, and internal utilities.
• Build lightweight internal user interfaces such as dashboards or web tools to support operational workflows and automation usage.
• Design and maintain SQL based data stores that support automation tools and internal applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs that integrate with internal platforms and services.
• Support deployment related activities including pipeline updates, configuration changes, and packaging of internal applications.
• Assist with vulnerability management and dependency management across internal codebases including scanning, patching, and updates.
• Support environment configuration, access control updates, and operational maintenance tasks.
• Rapidly prototype internal tools or utilities that improve team productivity and reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve technical challenges across development and infrastructure environments.
Required Skills and Experience
• 6 to 9 years of software engineering experience with strong Python development skills.
• Experience building automation tools, scripts, or internal platforms using Python.
• Experience developing APIs and integrating with backend services.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience working with Git based version control systems.
• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with containerized environments such as Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to move between development and operational tasks.
Preferred Skills
• Experience building internal dashboards or lightweight web interfaces using frameworks such as React or JavaScript.
• Experience working with tools such as Postman for API development and testing.
• Experience supporting internal developer tools or operational platforms.
• Familiarity with public cloud billing concepts and cost optimization strategies.
