Role: Python Developer
Location: NYC, NY(4 days on site (Mon - Thurs) and 1 day remote

Most important is Python, mostly backend but full stack ability, and Financial / Capital Markets industry experience.
Responsibilities :
β’ Drive the full lifecycle of software development, including analyzing, designing, coding, and implementing robust business solutions and core architectural changes.
β’ Apply Agile programming approaches to deliver high-quality software within tight deadlines.
β’ Provide technical input across architecture, design, development, code reviews, quality assurance, observability, and product support.
β’ Actively contribute to design discussions and perform code reviews, striving for high-quality and maintainable code.
β’ Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple technical tasks efficiently.
β’ Collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver results aligned with business goals.
β’ Use advanced problem-solving skills to research, select, and implement appropriate tools, frameworks, and products to solve critical technical challenges.
β’ Manage data governance and data quality processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills:
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM fields.
β’ Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, proficient in both scripting languages (e.g., Python) and object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, C++).
β’ Experience in Capital Markets/Investment Banking Technology, especially supporting or developing solutions for the secondaries business.
β’ Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), with direct experience building and deploying scalable solutions using microservices architecture.
β’ Strong proficiency in relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL/NewSQL) database technologies, including query optimization, stored procedure development, and data warehousing.
β’ Demonstrated excellence in building, deploying, and maintaining high-throughput systems; experienced with messaging technologies like Kafka.
β’ Practical knowledge of DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems such as Git.
β’ Commitment to clean, maintainable code and a history of delivering robust, full-stack, cloud-based applications.
β’ Experience in Agile development environments and familiarity with tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
β’ Proficiency in modern programming languages including Python, SQL, Java, and .NET.
β’ Ability to translate complex business logic into efficient queries and workflows.
