Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with strong experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable cloud-based applications and writing clean, efficient Python code. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust backend solutions in a cloud-first environment. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Python applications and microservices. • Build and manage infrastructure using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, etc. • Integrate with third-party APIs and internal systems. • Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues in a cloud-based environment. • Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD). • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions. • Maintain documentation and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python development. • 5+ years of experience working with AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc.). • Experience with RESTful APIs, Flask/FastAPI/Django frameworks. • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). • Familiarity with Docker and containerization best practices. • Proficient with version control systems (Git). Preferred Qualifications: • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect). • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CDK). • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.). • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, etc.).
