We are seeking a motivated and curious Python Engineer to join our Data & AI team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Python and a strong interest in building data pipelines, working with modern database technologies, and exploring the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) and machine learning frameworks. As a Python Engineer, you will contribute to the development of scalable data workflows, support experimentation with AI models like ChatGPT and Claude, and help bring machine learning capabilities into production environments. You'll work alongside senior engineers and data scientists on projects that power real-world applications across industries. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain Python-based data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering structured and unstructured data • Work with NoSQL and columnar databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Apache Parquet, Delta Lake) • Integrate and experiment with LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other API-based AI services • Support data science and ML teams in building, testing, and deploying ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn • Assist with performance monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting across the pipeline and ML workflows • Write clear, well-documented, and testable code • Stay up to date with emerging trends in AI, data engineering, and cloud-native tools Qualifications: • Experience with Python in data engineering, ML, or backend development roles • Familiarity with key Python libraries for data processing (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PyArrow) and ML (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch) • Experience working with APIs, especially those related to LLMs like OpenAI and Anthropic • Exposure to NoSQL and/or columnar databases • Understanding of data pipeline concepts and tools (e.g., Airflow, Luigi, or similar) • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) SGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
