GIS is seeking an experienced Python Programmer with a minimum of 5 years of professional programming experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable applications, writing clean and efficient code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
Debug and resolve software defects, performance issues, and scalability challenges.
Integrate with databases, APIs, and third-party services as needed.
Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards are met.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience programming with Python.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Proficiency in working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, etc.).
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Clean MVR in the past 7 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge ofcontainerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, automated testing).
Education:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
