Qlik Sense (Data Analyst or BI Analyst)

Job Details: Position: Decision Support Specialist - Qlik Sense (Data Analyst or BI Analyst) Location: Tallahassee, FL 32303 (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months contract with possible extension Required Tasks to be performed: • Develop visually appealing, intuitive, user friendly, and insightful Qlik Sense dashboards and reports • Advise program areas on which visualizations and analyses would best help them achieve their goals • Collaborate with data engineers and others to gather and clean data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality • Use statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis • Work collaboratively with program areas to identify KPIs and develop metrics to track and measure progress toward goals • Collaborate with data engineers and others to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes • Monitor data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting • Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, scientists, and others to understand data needs, address technical challenges, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization. Provide overall direction, guidance and definition of the enterprise’s architecture to effectively support the agency’s business strategy. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in D&A practices. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): • At least two years of experience in data visualization and analysis with Qlik Sense • Proficient in gathering and cleaning data from various sources. • Familiar with statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate program requirements into technical solutions and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Good oral (presenting and public speaking) and written (documentation, briefing reports, correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) communication skills. • Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): • Experience with Alteryx. • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar data tools. • Familiarity with environmental data.
