3+ years of experience in business intelligence or data visualization roles.
1+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight.
Strong experience with Cognos and Tableau, especially in report development and dashboard design.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts.
Familiarity with AWS data services (e.g., Redshift, S3, Athena, RDS).
Experience with version control and collaborative development tools (e.g., Git).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a cloud-first or AWS-native data environment.
Knowledge of scripting or automation tools for report migration or data validation.
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics β Specialty) is a plus.
Experience with user training and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing reports and dashboards in Cognos and Tableau to understand data sources, business logic, and visualizations.
Redesign and rebuild these reports in Amazon QuickSight, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure QuickSight has appropriate access to required data sources (e.g., Redshift, S3, RDS, Athena).
Work with business stakeholders to validate requirements and gather feedback on new report designs.
Optimize performance and usability of QuickSight dashboards for both technical and non-technical users.
Document the migration process, including report mappings, data transformations, and visual elements.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to team members and end-users on QuickSight.
Maintain security and access control for QuickSight assets using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and row-level security.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data discrepancies, performance, and visualization.
