Job Overview:
The role involves hands-on support and maintenance of enterprise-level storage and backup infrastructure. You’ll work on technologies like NetApp, Dell EMC SAN, Veritas NetBackup, and Azure, supporting both on-prem and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and troubleshoot issues in storage systems (NetApp NAS/SAN, Dell/EMC SAN, Azure NetApp Files, etc.)
• Administer backup platforms: Dell EMC Data Domain, Veritas NetBackup; Cohesity experience is a plus
• Monitor Wintel, Linux, and VMware platforms from a storage perspective
• Maintain accurate storage asset records
• Coordinate patching, upgrades, and releases
• Automate repetitive tasks and maintain system documentation
• Participate in after-hours support, maintenance, and on-call rotation
• Help rack and install hardware in data centers
• Engage with IT/business teams and guide them on service requests
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or similar) with 5–7 years of IT experience OR 6–9 years of hands-on experience
• 3–5 years of enterprise-level storage team experience
• Strong knowledge of storage and backup operations
• Ability to lift 25 lbs (with assistance), travel if needed, and be on-call 24/7
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Hands-on with Windows Server, HPE ProLiant, Oracle Linux/Solaris
• Scripting (Python, Shell)
• Familiarity with Zerto, VMware, Exadata hardware
• Helpful certifications: Azure Admin, OCI Admin, VMware, EMC, NetApp
• Strong communication skills (technical & non-technical audiences)
• Familiar with change management processes in high-availability environments
