This position will work within GPL PMO to gather requirements and transform raw data into actionable insights through high quality visualizations. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and deploy visually appealing and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for a variety of stakeholders. β€’ Work with business teams to understand data requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs. β€’ Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources (databases, Excel, etc.) to build reports. β€’ Implement and optimize data models to support performance and user-friendly visualizations. β€’ Create calculated measures, DAX queries, and data relationships to enhance dashboards' accuracy and functionality. β€’ Ensure the reliability and security of the data used in dashboards, adhering to best practices for data governance. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with Power BI reports, data discrepancies, or performance problems. Job Requirements Details: Required Skills and Qualifications: β€’ Proven expertise in Power BI (with a strong portfolio of previous dashboard projects). β€’ Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating measures, calculated columns, and reports. β€’ Hands-on experience with data modeling and structuring data for efficient querying and reporting. β€’ Knowledge of integrating Power BI with multiple data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, web services, APIs, etc.). β€’ Familiarity with Power BI Service (publishing, sharing reports, and creating workspaces). β€’ Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices. β€’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. β€’ Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and adapt to their needs. Desired Qualifications: β€’ Knowledge of additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus. β€’ Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies like SQL Server, Azure, or Office 365. β€’ Experience in data governance and security practices in BI.
