Our Fortune 500 Medical Device client has an exciting opportunity for an R&D Data Engineer I.
Job Summary:
In this exciting role, you will support the data and development of complex electro-mechanical medical device systems within the Interventional Cardiology Coronary Therapies team. This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of Client’s mission.
Responsibilities:
· Review, annotate, and prepare medical images to support machine learning & classical algorithm development.
· Maintain the storage and organization of medical images, annotations, and associated information.
· Develops and supports validation of tools for analyzing data sets and processing medical images through commercial & exploratory algorithms.
· Write and run unit tests
· Support code refactoring and testing code written by others
· Collaborate closely with data scientists, cloud data engineers, algorithm engineers, clinical engineers, software engineers and systems engineers locally and globally
· In all actions, lead with integrity and demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures.
· Querying datasets: Writing Python scripts
· Will be involved in some software tool validation activities
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field
· Experience with SQL and MATLAB or Python
· Self-motivated with a passion for solving problems.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

· Contract Length: 6 Months (Possible Temp-to-Hire)
· Work Set-up: Hybrid (3-days onsite) in Maple Grove, MN and will eventually transition to onsite from M-F
