Role description
Job Title: Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst (Hybrid) Location: New York City Fulltime Summary: The Finance – Financial Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for the preparation of regulatory filings for multiple legal entities under U.S. operations, reporting directly to the regional CFO organization. This hybrid position requires working onsite two to three days per week, with the remaining days remote. The role seeks a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI development, including dashboard and report creation, data modeling, and visualization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and at least 5 years of experience in business analysis within Regulatory Reporting, Finance, or Risk Management. Experience with SQL and DAX for data analysis and manipulation is a plus. This position also supports governance functions such as management reporting, change management, issue tracking, and stakeholder communication. Core Responsibilities: β€’ Design and develop Regulatory Reporting KPI/KRI metrics and implement a strategic dashboard creation process using Power BI. β€’ Prepare and maintain management presentations of KPI/KRI metrics, including narrative commentaries for senior management. β€’ Conduct data analytics and data quality assessments, coordinating with data governance teams to monitor and enhance data integrity controls. β€’ Support upstream data analysis, define data quality validation rules, prioritize remediation efforts, and maintain Business Requirement Documents aligned with regulatory standards. β€’ Assist in the preparation of materials for Regulatory Reporting Working Group and Governance Committee meetings, and support change and issue management forums. β€’ Track assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination across multiple stakeholders. β€’ Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and maintain regulatory compliance. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CPA, CFA) are preferred. β€’ Proven Power BI proficiency, including advanced data modeling, report building, and data visualization. β€’ Minimum 5 years of experience in financial or regulatory reporting, risk management, or related functions within the banking or financial services sector. β€’ Understanding of financial products such as loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, money market instruments, and repos. β€’ Knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, FFIEC031, FFIEC002, FFIEC009) is an advantage. β€’ Experience with SQL and DAX for data manipulation and analytics preferred. β€’ Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
