Role description
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a dynamic, collaborative team supporting enterprise-level experimentation and configuration management platforms. In this role, you'll deploy, monitor, support, and optimize cloud-based applications and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. You'll work closely with engineers across software, DevOps, and test functions to maintain mission-critical solutions. Responsibilities:
β’ Release Management: Build, deploy, and validate application, service, and infrastructure releases; Document release notes
β’ Production Support: Maintain high availability for production systems, manage on-call rotation, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis
β’ Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and maintain monitoring dashboards, track system performance, and alert teams on issues; Optimize latency and resource consumption
β’ Optimization: Manage resource scaling, optimize system performance, and improve infrastructure efficiency
β’ Team Collaboration: Serve as a technical expert on system architecture and deployment pipelines, coordinate with onshore/offshore teams, and assist with user support and bug fixes
Requirements
Primary Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
β’ Expertise with monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, Splunk)
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services (e.g., EKS, S3, DocumentDB)
β’ Experience with containerized microservices and web-based applications
β’ Familiarity with Git-based source control (e.g., GitLab)
β’ Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and cloud deployment pipelines
Secondary Qualifications
β’ Master's degree or higher in a related field
β’ 6+ years of experience in software lifecycle and SRE practices
β’ Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases
β’ Experience with experimentation, statistical testing, and data analysis
β’ Familiarity with Python, Node.js, React, TypeScript, and GraphQL
β’ Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, and ORM technologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
