Employment Type: 1099 Contract (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Weβre currently working with a behavioral health organization that is facing a significant backlog of $16 million in outstanding receivables. To help them gain visibility and take corrective action, we are seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist who brings deep expertise in Netsmart myAvatar, Power BI, and Crystal Reports.
This is a contract role (1099) that offers the flexibility to work remotely and can be structured as part-time or full-time based on your availability. You'll be instrumental in identifying gaps in the billing and claims process, building data pipelines, and driving reporting transparency that leads to revenue recovery.

β’ Analyze outstanding A/R and identify aging trends and root causes for delayed or denied claims
β’ Extract and transform billing and claims data from EHR systems (ideally myAvatar) into usable datasets
β’ Build and optimize Power BI dashboards for real-time tracking of receivables, denial trends, and cash flow performance
β’ Create detailed reports using Crystal Reports for finance and leadership teams
β’ Work cross-functionally with billing, clinical operations, and IT to ensure data accuracy and workflow alignment
β’ Recommend improvements in revenue cycle operations based on insights gathered
What Weβre Looking For
β’ 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
β’ Hands-on experience with Power BI, Crystal Reports, and at least one major EHR system (preferably Netsmart myAvatar)
β’ Strong understanding of Medicaid and behavioral health billing practices
β’ Proven ability to manage large A/R datasets and create actionable insights
β’ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Why This Role Matters
This isnβt just another reporting job β this is a chance to help a behavioral health organization regain control of $16M+ in outstanding receivables, restore cash flow, and sustain critical services for vulnerable populations. Your expertise will have an immediate, tangible impact.
