VP Risk & Finance Data Governance Analyst 6-Month Contract | £575–£650 per day (Umbrella) Location: London - Hybrid, 2–3 days in the office A leading international bank is seeking an experienced VP-level Risk & Finance Data Governance Analyst to support a major data transformation programme within their EMEA Data Office. This role sits at the heart of a large BCBS239 compliance and data governance uplift initiative, supporting Risk and Finance data domains. You’ll join a fast-growing Data Office driving enterprise-wide data governance maturity. With Data Management still in its early stages across the organisation, this is a crucial role requiring strong communication, influence, and the ability to bring stakeholders on the journey. You’ll work across multiple functions to introduce and embed frameworks for data quality, metadata, lineage, standards, and governance - all with the aim of elevating Risk & Finance data to regulatory and operational expectations. Key Responsibilities • Lead Data Governance implementation across Risk & Finance domains in alignment with BCBS239 • Drive data definition, lineage, standards, and controls for prioritised use cases • Support investigation and remediation of Data Quality issues • Engage senior stakeholders to communicate and embed data governance concepts • Monitor changes to business data requirements; manage data-related change activity • Contribute to divisional and bank-wide data governance forums • Partner with business, risk, finance, compliance and technology teams to ensure clear data requirements Skills & Experience Required • Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, metadata, profiling & analysis • Detailed experience applying BCBS239 in a Tier 1/Tier 2 bank • Understanding of Risk & Finance data structures and regulatory requirements • Proven ability to influence senior managers, challenge constructively, and educate stakeholders • Experience with data models (physical, logical, business) • Proficiency in Excel, Visio & PowerPoint • Exposure to Collibra or similar governance tools beneficial • Experience working within regulated financial frameworks Why Join?
