Ruby Engineer

For one of our leading clients, we are searching for a senior Ruby Engineer to join on a contract basis. Please note, the position will be outside IR35. Role Responsibilities • Design and architect robust, scalable systems and services using Ruby and Rails • Lead the development of APIs and service-oriented architectures to enable seamless integrations • Drive performance optimization efforts across applications and databases • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions • Establish and uphold best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment • Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence Requirements • Have expert proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails • Have extensive experience in system design and architecture for mission-critical applications • Have advanced skills in relational and non-relational database design • Have a proven track record of performance optimization and scalability improvements • Have a strong background in API design and service-oriented architecture • Demonstrate mentorship abilities and team leadership experience Contract Details: • Start date: ASAP • Location: Remote • Hours per week: 40 • Contract: Freelance • Outside IR35
